Romanian Gymnasts

While over the last 30 years or so Bela Karolyi, the gymnastics coach from Romania has helped bring many of the top stars of recent memory to light, there has also been a positive influx of Romanian gymnasts in this group. In a land so repressed and so restrained from so many of the freedoms that so many of the rest of us are able to enjoy at the time it was an impressive feat that many of the best of them were still able to come out and produce some of the best Romanian gymnasts in the world. While there were many famous Romanian gymnasts in this lot there were none perhaps as famous as Nadia Comaneci.

When you are talking about Romanian gymnasts in general there was a certain repression they all face before the fall of communism in the country and therefore many of the potentially greatest gymnasts of the last 50 years or probably just missed because of their press nature of life. However some were found and some have gone on to greatness in the sport of gymnastics. When you are talking about some of the greatest Romanian gymnasts, there is a propensity to lean towards a few popular names who continue to do things time and again that are just out of this world.

If you are a fan of Romanian gymnasts or famous Romanian gymnasts than you probably no doubt know many of the names that we are referring to. However when you're talking about a name like Nadia Comaneci who is name was ranked fourth in the greatest athletes of 150 years in sports by Fox.com then there is a certain respect that must go along with that.

While many Romanian gymnasts have gone on to produce videos and instructional technologies and accessories and gym wear and other things like that, there is a certain respect for just what they have been able to do with their repressed society all these years later. It makes one from a free country like the United States question what it is that they're doing with their lives when somebody is able to rise from the ashes of a fallen society like some of these folks from Romania have been able to do. Romanian gymnasts are an excellent breed and out of the fall in the ashes of a fallen country many of the most famous Romanian gymnasts deserve our respect.
