Forms Of Gymnastics
While many people think of only a couple of things when they think of gymnastics, there are really a whole host of forms of gymnastics that are available to be considered when you are trying to decide which type of gymnastics it is you want to become a part of. And whether you are looking to become a part of some form of gymnastics where you do some sort of a team activity or whether you're gymnastic aspirations lead you to a solo floor mat activity or whether you're gymnastic abilities lie and the mounting and flipping and swinging on the equipment, these are all different things which can help your gymnastic understanding enrich that much more.
When you are talking about the different forms of gymnastics you're probably talking about the different types of equipment which you use or don't use. For individual floor gymnastics it is just an individual performing a dance routine on a matted floor. There are a number of prerequisites of things that the gymnast is able to do and not able to do and they are scored based upon their performance. This is one of the most essential types of gymnastics as is one of the most elemental and it is just the skill of the individual and the performance they are able to give.
Another form of gymnastics would be on equipment.
