Balance Beam
When you're talking about gymnastics as a sport there are a number of things which will be able to further on your representation as an artistic wonder. While there are many functions to many of the apparatus which exists on the floor of the gymnasium, much of the time, much of the artistic and gymnastic flavor which is left on the floor is due to the skill of the individual. You can't really fake it on something like the parallel bars or the vault; you need a firm understanding of what is going on, on the floor and you need to be able to be in full control of your body at all times.
It is with this in mind that many of us find some solace in the balance beam. The balance beam and the gymnastics is typically a 16 foot long 4 inch wide padded beam which is 4 feet off the ground and on which a talented gymnasts will be able to operate and perform a routine. Balance beam routines are very intricate and usually involve flipping and some show of some kind of skill which not too many of us would be able to accomplish on our own. Most of us are nowhere near of the skill level to be able to perform on the balance beam and this is one of the biggest distinctions between ordinary folk and true gymnasts as only the true gymnasts are able to fully appreciate and flourish on the balance beam.
If you are of the Olympic pedigree and you feel like you need the practice and you have the space with which to work with the balance being in your home then you should perhaps consider getting yourself your own balance beam. While the truth is that many professional balance beams probably cost in the several thousands of dollars, there are ways for the more industrious of us to be able to build our own balance beam. The phone balance beam and exists with just some foam and a few aluminum stands that would be able to sit and hold the weight of the gymnast. Before you consider building your own balance for you want to be sure that you have all the proper schematics, you have all the proper ancillary equipment including a format on which to fall, and that you have the right type of ingredients to concoct a balance being that will give you a good representation of the kind you will be using in competition. It's no use practicing on a balance beam that doesn't have the same dimensions as one that you would be using in competition because that doesn't make much sense at all.
